Student Council Appointed Chair
Hi my name is Aimee and I am 17 years old in October. I have danced at Rothwell Arts for 3 years and have enjoyed every minute.
For some dancing becomes a career, for me dancing is a hobby where I can both exercise and make friends.
I am looking forward to starting college in September to study A-levels in Dance, Psychology and Sociology and I am hoping to become a counsellor.
In my past I have suffered with severe anxiety and have myself been referred for counselling on two occasions These sessions helped me greatly along with the help and support of my friends.
As a result, I want to offer my help and advice to anybody in the school who needs a friend to listen. Whether it be face to face or just a message, I am here to help.
Dancing has been a great way to deal with my anxieties as it gives me a release and another focus. It is healthy for not only our bodies but for our minds and our mental health.
I am proud to have been asked to be part of the team.
Sian has been a student at Rothwell Arts since 2015, studying tap, ballet and modern jazz, and also
